We’ve always been gluten-free, but we understand that sometimes having the data to support the claim is more meaningful for those customers who have a serious gluten intolerance or who are Coeliac. To ensure we are in fact 100% gluten-free, we embarked on a project to test our sauces and apply to be endorsed by the Coeliac Society of Australia in 2018. The testing and endorsement coincided with new labelling laws, which meant our bottle labels were due for an update anyway (presenting a great opportunity to refresh our labels).
We completed the testing through the Sanitarium laboratories. With a little tweak here and there, our new labels were approved and Big Rick’s Australia received approval from the Coeliac Society. We’re proud to be gluten-free and we #treatglutenseriously.
Most of our online recipes have also been created with this in mind and can all be adapted to be 100% gluten-free. With Big Rick’s, those of you who are sensitive to gluten don’t have to miss out on big tasting BBQ sauce!
